This year's "Blizzard Bag" food collection was a big success. Through the generosity of our caring community, enough food and monetary donations were collected so that we can fill 900 bags with a full day's supply of nutritious food.
We provide our clients with these bags so that they have food to eat on days that our volunteers cannot get out to deliver because of bad weather or another emergency. Last winter, we had to cancel food delivery 14 times, so we must be prepared.
Thanks again to all of the companies, organizations, volunteers and individuals who collected food for our blizzard bags. And, thank you to our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS who helped sort the items--Ryan McGrail, Chris Bavlinka, Menal Desai, Tyler Wolfe and Evelyn Hart.
