Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community for Meals on Wheels--June 4, 2016, 9 am, DeSales University. Highmark underwrites the entire cost of this walk benefiting 26 nonprofits. All the money raised by Meals on Wheels sponsors and walkers will be used to subsidize meals. Throughout our 45-year history, clients have benefited from fundraising efforts initiated, organized and executed by other organizations, businesses or individuals in our community. We truly appreciate these "third-party events" that promote awareness of the service we provide as well as raise needed funds. Some examples of third party events hosted by others include roast beef dinners, dress down or jeans days, concerts and neighborhood block sales.
Before you begin organizing your event, please contact Michele Grasso, Development Director, at [email protected] or 610-841-7023 to review our guidelines and third party fundraising agreement. This process assures that fundraisers reflect and promote Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County in a way that is consistent with our mission and vision.
Please note that we are unable to provide staff or volunteers due to limited resources and we never give out our mailing list.
