At its Annual Meeting today, Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County elected six new Board members: Joel D. Cook, VP Retail Marketing & Western Trading, PPL EnergyPlus; Sarah Garon, Small Group Sales Representative, Capital Blue Cross; Elissa A. Graner, VP Private Banking, National Penn Bank; Pamela Koons-Harnett, Health Admin/Regional Manager, St. Luke’s HealthNetwork; Lisa A. Luciano, Commercial Lender, Lafayette Ambassador Bank; and Kay Werhun, Director, Population Health Services, LVHN. They replace outgoing Board Members: Phil Del Vecchio, retired physician; John Haney, Chief Operating Officer, St. Luke’s Physician Group and Susan McCann, VP Private Banking, National Penn Bank.
The Board elected the following officers for the 2014 term: Alison A. Huddleston, Client Manager,Highmark Blue Shield, President; Michael Santanasto, Attorney, Santanasto Law, Vice President; Julie Profilet-Saucier, Business Manager, Spillman Farmer Architects, Secretary and James Faylor, CPA, Lang, Faylor and Chomo, Treasurer.
This year Meals on Wheels presented the Agency’s Community Partnership Award to Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) for its outstanding support. LVHN has three delivery teams whose members have made 3,372 visits to clients and delivered 5,731 meals. In addition, since 2002 LVHN employees have provided nearly 400 decorated tabletop holiday trees along with gifts to Meals on Wheels clients. In addition, LVHN supports the Agency through sponsorship of its fundraisers.

The employees who participate with Meals on Wheels show incredible generosity and go the extra mile to fulfill LVHN’s mission to heal, comfort and care for the people of our community. This is especially evident in the care they give to the homebound seniors and adults with disabilities we serve. LVHN truly deserves this award.”
Employees of LVHN Gloria Lotte, Kim Pasquarello, Denise Parker and Kathy Robinson accepted the award on behalf of the company.
