Highmark Walkers, Donors and Sponsors Raise over $10,000
Thanks to our walkers, donors and sponsors who raised more than $10,000 to fund over 3,200 meals for our homebound neighbors.
It was a beautiful morning for this year’s Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. Highmark underwrites the cost of this annual walk to benefit 29 local nonprofits, so every dollar raised by Meals on Wheels participants stays with the Agency to fund meals. Smiles and sunshine combined with good music, healthy snacks, and an energetic walk added up to a great spring morning for our 58 registered Meals on Wheels walkers. Some of our walkers brought their dogs which added to the fun.
