Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County announced today that it has
been honored with a prestigious Top-Rated Award by Great Nonprofits, the
leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“We are thrilled to be named a Top-Rated 2015 Nonprofit,”
says Michele Grasso, Development Director.
This is the second year in a row that we have received this honor. We are proud of our many accomplishments this
year, including serving up to 460 clients each weekday and fully launching our
grocery shopping service which now serves 78 clients. For almost 45 years, we
have been helping our homebound neighbors stay in their own home for as long as
possible, which is the place where they want to be.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number
of positive reviews that Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County received - reviews
written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience
with the nonprofit. For example, one person wrote, “I know several elderly and homebound people that depend on Meals on
Wheels. They are always treated with respect and compassion. Lehigh Valley
volunteers are wonderful people and are so very much appreciated. Thank you to
everyone that volunteers to this organization!
