Since 1971, Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County has been providing nutritionally balanced, home-delivered lunch and evening meals to residents of Lehigh County who are predominantly homebound and unable to prepare nutritious meals because of advanced age, disability or illness.
Home-delivered meals are available to meet long-term needs so clilents may remain living independently in their own homes . Home-delivered meals are also available to meet short-term needs so clients can recuperate from an illness or operation.
Meals are delivered Monday through Friday at lunchtime. Frozen weekend meals are also available. The meals are delivered to the client’s door by well-trained volunteers—who are often the only people our clients see on a daily basis.
