Fundraising is an integral part of the overall operating budget for Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County. In addition to outright financial contributions from individuals, companies, organizations, and foundations, Meals on Wheels has event sponsorship opportunities as well as individual participation for its fundraising events.
In 2012, we must raise over $400,000 to meet the need for home-delivered meals.
Your sponsorship dollars and participation in our events, along with other community donations, subsidize meals for 90% of the people we serve. With their meal costs subsidized, low-income clients don’t have to decide between eating or paying for other basic necessities.

Are you interested in organizing a fundraiser?
Throughout our 40-year history, clients have benefitted from fundraising efforts initiated, organized and executed by other organizations, businesses or individuals in our community. We truly appreciate these "third-party events" that promote awareness of the service we provide as well as raise needed funds. Some examples of third party events hosted by others include roast beef dinners, dress down or jeans days, concerts and neighborhood block sales.
